Fine art Photographer : Sarah Blodgett
Sarah Blodgett is a commercial and art photographer now residing in Ithaca, NY. Born in New York City, her family moved to the Hudson Valley in the late 60's. Since the purchase of her first camera at the age of ten, Dutchess and Columbia Counties have been her chief source of inspiration for her landscapes and still lives, and have also served as backdrops for her portrait work.
Her education includes the San Francisco Art Institute and a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in visual arts from SUNY New Paltz.
Sarah's work has been exhibited at the Tivoli Artist Co-op in Tivoli New York, Debbie Davis Fine Art Gallery in Hudson, NY, Madelyn Jordan Fine Art in Scarsdale NY, the Barrett art center in Poughkeepsie, NY and many group shows in the Tri State region. Her work has been published in Fine Gardening, Country Living Gardener, The Country, Catskill mountain Region Guide, The Knot, Martha Stewart, The Sun Magazine, Berkshire Home & Style, Quest Magazine and 2wice magazine published by Pentagram. She has been featured as a "trendsetter" in Art Business News and is currently signed with Graphistock in NYC.
Commercially, Sarah's work includes clients such as K2 developement, Stems, Van Delft Floral, Live Oak Media, Sycamore Creek, Eli Zabar, Central Securities Cooperation, Planned Parent Hood, Photographers Market, Noble Works greeting cards, Posters International, and book covers for Farrar, Straus and Giroux, and Harper Collins,
